An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built into your device. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you install a mobile plan by scanning a QR code or tapping a link. It does the same job as a physical SIM, but everything happens in software.

Why use an eSIM for travel?

  • Instant delivery — buy and install in minutes, no shipping or pickup.
  • Keep your home number — run the travel data plan alongside your regular SIM.
  • No roaming bills — pay a fixed local rate before you travel.
  • Nothing to lose — there is no tiny card to misplace or swap.

Good to know

Most phones support two eSIMs stored at once and let you switch between them in Settings. Your physical SIM keeps working too.

How it works in three steps

  1. 1

    Buy a plan

Choose a destination and data amount. You receive a QR code instantly by email and in your account.

  2. 2

    Install it

Scan the QR code in your phone settings to add the eSIM. This takes about a minute.

  3. 3

    Activate on arrival

Turn on the eSIM line and enable data roaming when you land. You are connected.

Note

Before buying, confirm your device is eSIM compatible and carrier-unlocked. See the device compatibility guide for a quick check.
