Two things must be true to use an eSIM: your device must support eSIM and it must be carrier-unlocked.
Quick check on your phone
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for Available eSIM or an EID number.
- Android: dial
*#06#and look for an EID number, or check Settings → About phone.
Tip
The fastest way is the device compatibility checker — pick your model for an instant answer.
Unlocked matters
A phone tied to a specific carrier (locked) cannot use a third-party eSIM. Ask your carrier to unlock it if needed.
