Can I use a hotspot / tethering?
Whether you can share your eSIM data with other devices and how to turn on a personal hotspot.
Most of our plans support personal hotspot (tethering), so you can share your connection with a laptop, tablet, or travel companion. Hotspot data counts against your plan balance.
Good to know
Check the plan page — a small number of local networks restrict tethering. It is noted on the plan when so.
Turn on hotspot — iPhone
Settings → Personal Hotspot → Allow Others to Join. Make sure the travel eSIM is your data line first.
Turn on hotspot — Android
Settings → Connections → Mobile Hotspot and Tethering → Mobile Hotspot.
Important
Hotspot uses data quickly, especially for video. Keep an eye on your balance.
