How to transfer an eSIM to a new phone
What you can and cannot do when moving an eSIM between devices, and the safest approach.
Read before deleting anything
An eSIM is tied to one device once installed. Deleting it to move it usually means the original QR code cannot be reused. Contact support before removing an active eSIM you still need.
If you have not installed it yet
Simply install the QR code on the new phone instead of the old one. Nothing else is needed.
If it is already installed and active
- Some newer phones support eSIM Quick Transfer between devices during setup — try that first.
- Otherwise, contact support with your order number; we can advise whether a re-issue is possible.
