Requires iPhone XS or newer running a recent version of iOS, with the device unlocked.

Connect to Wi-Fi.

Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service).

Tap Add eSIM → Use QR Code.

Scan the QR code, then tap Continue and Add eSIM.

Label the plan (for example "Travel") and choose your default line.
Set your lines correctly
Set your travel eSIM for Cellular Data, keep your home line for calls/texts if you want it, and turn Data Roaming ON for the travel line only.
